Mission Impossible: Without Christ/ Mission Possible: WITH Christ
Play the Floor is LAVA (you know the game where you can’t touch the floor only designated spots). Have two pieces of paper or hearts (It’s almost Valentines after all) Impossibly far apart for anyone in your family to reach by themselves without falling into “lava.” Talk about how it is impossible by ourselves.
Our Loving Heavenly Father knew this would be. After the fall of Adam and Eve we would all 1-die, and 2-sin. Which makes it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to return to live with God again. Because we would need to be immortal and sinless to be in God’s presence.
God loves us so much that He prepared a way. He had a plan! Jesus Christ, His Son, would come to earth and live a sinless life, pay for our sins, and overcome death. Through Jesus Christ we will ALL be resurrected and overcome death. Problem #1 solved!
Add a paper or heart to be able to step on to get closer to the other heart.
Christ paid the price for our sins. If we repent and come unto Him. We can be forgiven!
Add another heart to step on to get closer to the end destination.
Through covenants and ordinances and continual repentance we can access the power of the atonement and overcome Problem #2 of sin.
Add another heart to step on to get closer to the end destination.
I’m so grateful for Christ for making the impossible possible.
I’m grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who prepared a way for our return.
