Activity #2: Secret Family Member

Make it a game.
- Put each family member’s name in a hat or a bowl.
- Have everyone draw a name to serve (you can do it for the week or a day…whatever works best for your family…follow the spirit)
- Make sure that everyone knows that they have to do at LEAST 1 acts of service for that family member. (or 1 act per day)
- You could have a visual and have them add a rock (or a marshmellow, or a penny…use what you have!) to a mason jar.
- Celebrate your victories!
- See if you can guess who had you!
- Talk about how you felt after serving your family member.
Ideas and resources from the church:
This idea goes into why it is important to be like a child:
This idea suggests you climbing on a chair and listing things that family members have done during the week to serve them:

I love this idea from the Come Follow Me manual: Mosiah 2-3
It might be fun for your family to create the setting for King Benjamin’s speech. You could make a small tower and let family members take turns reading King Benjamin’s words while standing on it. The rest of the family could listen from inside a makeshift tent.
