Activity Idea: Shine the Light of Christ
In 3 Nephi 18:24 it says: “hold up your light that it may shine unto the world… I am the light which ye shall hold up.”
Find a flashlight and tape a picture of Jesus. Turn off the lights and have everyone follow the light. Have family members take turns holding the flashlight. OR Have a flashlight with a picture of Christ for each family member to shine in a dark room.

- Sing “Reverently, Quietly” (Children’s Songbook, 26).
- When Jesus visited the Nephites, He taught them about the sacrament (see 3 Nephi 18:1–12). Read a message from President Oaks about the sacrament on page 2. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/friend/2020/10/the-sacrament-and-me?lang=eng
- Draw a picture of Jesus! As you do, talk about ways you can remember Him when you take the sacrament.

Then write I ask thee for on the board, and read together 3 Nephi 18:18–21 and 19:9, 23, looking for ideas about what we should pray for.
